Front yard landscaping can be both exciting and overwhelming at the same time. You have to know exactly what your front yard to look like (or something close to it) before venturing into the whole process.

So first, you have to have some sort of mental picture. Try to draw it no matter how rough. Do you plan on a theme like colors of blooms that stuff. Do you want a pond or fountain? Write down everything you might want.

If you're doing DIY, then you'll do a lot of research and asking around on how to go about stuff. Ask friends who have done landscaping, take a look at other front yards that have been landscaped.

Decide on your budget then look around on the internet or in actual stores for the stuff you need for your landscaping.

If you're hiring professional landscapers, you'll still need to do what's been mentioned above and then add to that ask for recommendations on who are good landscaping contractors.
