Why It’s Easy To Have Beautiful Gardens

After a long winter there is nothing more lovely than a spring garden with decorative garden decor (glass gazing balls are a great addition). In order to achieve a blooming spring garden there are a few things you will need to do.

First things first…in the fall, plant your bulbs along with some ground phlox. You
should also put some bulb premium fertilizers into each hole as you plant the bulbs-and watch to
how deep they say to plant. I’ve found that you should usually try to put plant bulbs in groupings of odd numbers
interspersed in such a way that other plants will hide their foliage as the bulbs start to
wither. If you go about willy-nilly style spreading them out to and fro, they tend to make a nice
garden look cheap
.

In the spring after your daffodils and tulips have all bloomed it is important to not cut
back the foliage
. Considered ugly by uninformed people this cutting back will only hinder the flower bulbs from
coming into full bloom the following year. If you will have the patience to let it yellow, it should pull out or cut off more easily
enough. Truthfully, if you cann’t remove it out of the earth then it is not to try and cut
away or removed. These left over leaves are generating food for next year’s blooms. All you have to do is
forget about them til they are completly turned.

It is also a good idea to put down some bulb fertilizer in the fall and spring over the areas where you have them planted. Doing this proves to keeps your bulbs joyous from season to season. Deer and squirrels usually are not interested in daffodils, so this flower bulb can be a sure choice
it’s gonna slowly multiply year to year.

If you haven’t already noticed also, tulips can be a hear-breaker!

You may notice that within a couple seasons the bulbs tend stop blooming. Plus, the varmits will steal them or the deer eat them – they simply disappear.

Words of Caution: Grape Hyacinth and also Scilla are both beautiful BUT they could grow to a
point of being hinderance to the landscape…and, as you can probably guess, you should want to keep this in your memory if introducing them. Be sure to have some recycled glass gazing balls and other decorative garden decor too!

Spring gardens should be staked out and started in the fall…just another reason why planning ahead is a big part of gardening.
