Suggestions For Shopping For Inexpensive Sprinkler Systems

There are many different factors that go into choosing the correct sprinkler system to use in your yard. Your yard may even need two or more types of sprinkler systems depending upon the desired saturation and the area to be watered. Drip, rotor, and spray are the three most popular type of sprinkler systems.

The type of sprinkler system that is most often put in at a residence is the spray system. They are the best options when you need to give a lot of water to a small area in a short amount of time. There will be different application rates with different spray sprinkler systems. The two main types of spray sprinkler systems are pop up and pipe mounted.

Pop up types will be flush with the ground and pop up while the water is on while pipe mounted types will stay in one fixed position. Flat areas with absorbent soils will do well with spray sprinkler systems.

Rotor head sprinkler systems are the way to go if you have a big open area such as golf courses, large rolling lawns, and parks. They most often will have a lower rate of application than spray head lawn sprinklers which make them the perfect choice for soils which are not very absorbent. You can find them in single and double spray head types. A rotating gear is used by both of these types.

Drip sprinkler systems are great for times when you want to irrigate specific plants with a controlled amount of water. They use hoses or tubes will other small hoses or spigots connected that drip water directly into the soil. The biggest advantages of using drip sprinkler systems is that you can determine where the water goes and there is no spray to worry about during garden parties. They are the ideal watering solution for vegetable gardens and flower beds. As you can see the type of sprinkler system you need will depend upon the size of your yard and the type of plants that you have. You may need to have more than one type of system put in to meet all your needs.
