Save Time By Keeping A Few Days Of Food Waste In A Kitchen Compost Bin

A kitchen compost bin is a great way to store your food scraps until you are ready to bring them to your outdoor composting pile or tumbler. Instead of having to bring your food waste outdoors after every meal you can keep them inside in a decorative storage container.

A bin that you have in your kitchen for food scraps can be either a small decorative holder that you can keep on your counter top or a bin that looks like a small garbage can. The larger one will fit in a cabinet under your sink so it will not be out in the open. Either one has a filter so your food waste will not smell as you hold it inside before bringing it out to the composter.

Both of these bins will help you to conveniently recycle your food scraps, instead of paying to have extra garbage taken away. This will save you time and money. You can keep your food waste inside and not worry about animals tearing through your garbage to get at your food either.

Your pets will not be able to smell the food inside either, because of the filtering system the kitchen compost bin has. Guest in your home will only notice your beautiful garden that you hae from your homemade soil conditioner and not the food scraps you are keeping in your kitchen.

Having a unit like this makes a big difference if time is a concern for you. Going to your compost pile every time you have food scraps is time consuming. With this unit, you can go for days without having to make a trip to your pile of humus. Small amounts of time add up when your day is already full of activities.

Making your own chemical free compost is easy when you have a bin right in your kitchen to put your food waste in. You will not be tempted to throw your food in the garbage when you know you can keep it inside for recycling. The best kitchen scraps are eggshells, fruit, coffee grinds and vegetables.

If you don’t want to bring your scraps outside after every meal you may not recycle them. But, when you have a convenient kitchen compost bin you can toss your food waste in there just as easily as throwing them in the garbage.

Save even more time and money on bio-bags with this new kitchen compost bin http://www.compokeeper.com/
It holds 4 times as much as a countertop container, saving you trips to the outdoor bin and money on bio-bags. There’s no charcoal filter to replace and it never needs cleaning.
It’s perfect for curbside recyclers because everything including the pick-up bin stays clean.
