Greenhouse Design And Construction
Whether you are building a huge luxury greenhouse to escape to, or a simple lean-to greenhouse several considerations go into choosing a contractor.
First, Greenhouse construction is unique to the industry. You should not hire a company that does not have experience in building greenhouses. These greenhouses are costly and you will want them to be constructed by true greenhouse craftsmen. Some of the pitfalls with building a greenhouse lies within the contractor working on the site. There are special clips, bolts, corners, and working with glass or polycarbonate is also a true skill so don’t try to cut corners by hiring a local builder unless they are truly skilled at working with greenhouse construction.
Second, Construction of a greenhouse requires knowledge of the manufacturing of the greenhouse. The manufacturing process is another key to owning and building a greenhouse. From the basic design down to the materials, the owner should know that special attention is given to the joints and clips, openings such as doors and vents and corners and design. These are built by special equipment and and tools that are also unique to a true craftsman. Like most crafts, these have been developed over many years and you will not want any margin for error.
Third, Constructing a greenhouse requires team work with the manufacturer and the builder. Once you have your placement and have discussed the location, needs, size and style with the greenhouse builder, when ordering the pieces, the construction should move very smoothly. A nightmare would be if you ordered the parts of a kit, or a kit from over seas and the construction was delayed due to faulty parts, or parts missing. The whole process would be delayed and costs would arise from that as well.
Fourth, a qualified greenhouse construction crew will know more than a general contractor when planning a greenhouse. Many details are considered such as the air flow of the greenhouse, how size of structure affects the life of the plants, climates and issues that may arise with the certain manufacturers of the equipment used. A professional greenhouse builder will work with architects, engineers and landscape designers well before you get to the ordering process.
As you can see, greenhouse construction comes with many considerations and the builder qualified to work in this field will be able to sit down and talk to you about many more things to make sure your gardening dreams are met.

please recommend me a design for a greenhouse for the details as shown bellow:
The structure:
Plastic Polyethylene Cover
Greenhouse single dimension 34x9m Heights: 3.5m – 3.7m –(maximum 4.1m)
The single Greenhouse area with column 34X9m (306m2)
The greenhouse must be of hot dipped galvanized steel framework. The galvanized pipes must be anti – rust (water resistance) and are connected with out welding.
The pipes must be either:
o Cylindrical galvanized pipes of dimeter 60mm and thickness 2mm
Or
o Square galvanized pipes 55mm of thickness 2mm,
The greenhouse must have 13 arches
The spaces between the arches must be 3m except the first and the last 2m.
The long side supporter galvanized pipes must be diameter 32mm and thickness 1.5mm holding the arches together.
The short side (width of the greenhouse) supporter galvanized pipes and the cross diagonal supports must be of diameter 32mm and thickness 1.5.
The greenhouse must have anchors, galvanized wire, strings to hang the plants and baskets for gathering of the vegetables.
The greenhouse must have fan exhaust from the one side and wet cooling pads at the other end.
The greenhouse must have wind resistance for speed 150 Km per hour and can handle load up to 25Kg/m2. With ventilation windows on the side covered with anti-insect net.
The doors must be sliding doors to avoid loss of cool and a double door at the an external room have more control for the greenhouse room temperature
The greenhouse must have anti-insect net with frame on cooling pads on the outside and on the fan exhaust from the inside
They must be an auto-shade system to control the room temperature of the greenhouse.
The cover:
The cover made from plastic polyethylene of thickness not less than 200 micron anti-ultraviolet radiation (7 to10) % minimum. The front elevation, end elevation made of fibre-glass of thickness 0.8mm and anti-ultraviolet radiation (10) % minimum.
Foam must be uses to fill in the gaps between the structure and the plastic polyethylene cover.
The cooling system:
The cooling must have 2 fans (38”-50” diameters having European specification) for each greenhouse. The air flow must be (43,000m – 44,000) m3/hour. The area for the cooling pads must 18m2 (2m x 6m) and thickness of 10cm.
The must a lower pool and a higher pool made form galvanized sheets of thickness 2mm.
A water pump and (2 to 3) circulating fans and small upper exhaust fans must be included to each greenhouses.
Control board
A control board for each greenhouse to control the circulating-fans, exhaust-fans, water pump and thermostat must be provided. The connecting electrical cables (different lengths) must be of high quality.
The irrigation system
The main channels inside the greenhouse must be a 2” pipes equipped with a filter, fertile sand and the needed number of valves.
The branches from the main channels (of length 120cm) having drip irrigation of GR (13-16) mm, the valves at the branches for the plants must be (25 to 35) cm apart.
Water net work for the cooling system
The pipes of 1.5” with an underground pool of 2 cubic-meters containing a valve, pressure water pump and a water controller floater.
