Gardening Strategies for Growing the Best Antioxidants

When preparing your new garden for creating a Garden of Eden with the best antioxidants available, map it out. You’ll need a certain amount of sunshine every day and consider if the area is exposed to gusty conditions. Your best results will come from passing time planning prior to letting the excitement of getting your hands dirty and your project in progress in haste. This often leads to discontentment and less propitious results. When you have your garden in place , with all of the primary ingredients, permit it to rest for a week. Many of the natural fertilizers are very robust and won’t benefit new seeds or sprouts.

There are a number of ways to get the ideal soil conditions and garden bed or beds prepared. Raised garden beds are the best, as this permits good drainage. One more benefit is that you will not have to bend over as much and it’s much simpler to keep out the weeds that will be interested in your super rich soil. On that note, don’t ever add clippings that might have weeds or the seeds of plants you may not want to flourish here.

For those with poor soils or rocky conditions, you may like to think about Permaculture. This is a technique where, using the mapping steps above, you lay a very thick barrier between the existing ground and your proposed garden. You can even lay this over lawn and plants, so long as they are at ground level. Many of us have used rural weed matting, builders or plastic to hand but this is undesirable on several counts.

First the plastic is damaging and the unmitigated opposite of what you need to achieve. Also, as it breaks down, it breaks apart and is a terrible chore to entirely remove from your garden should you want to move your garden beds. The ideal base is either thin tree materials such as paper barks or off cuts, but again be wary that any manufactured material has not been chemically treated. An easy way is to stockpile old newspapers, but don’t use mags or any glossy paper as it too has been chemically treated. This is really fun to put in place.

You plot out your area, then take the newspaper and put it where your garden will be. Do not be a scrooge here, as the thicker the base of paper is, the less chance of weed regeneration you’ll have. Overlap the paper as much as practicable. The rule to success lies in the preparation and months even years on, this small amount of planning and groundwork will pay off for you.
