Tip #4 – Maintain a year-round color and glow with the annuals. 

The evergreen flowers give their color for a certain period.  When this period has passed, you have got to make sure that there is still another source of color in your yard or garden.  This is the task of the annuals.  They give the continual color the whole-year through. 

Tip #5 – Consider hardscape in your design. 

Maintaining an interesting yard is not complete if you only have plants and flowers.  You also require some design elements that will add to the beauty.  These include fences, deck, terrace and arbor.  These add to the total elegance of the landscaping effort that you are putting in.
