Interesting tips. I’d always thought that leaving the clippings on led to thatch and that fresh clippings could drain the soil of nitrogen as it decomposes? Do the clients mind having big clods of grass stuck to their shoes as they walk on the lawn?

Nice tips thank you! I have also just written an article on this a technique called mulching which I have used for years and my grass is perfectly green and look real nice in summers at BBQ partys.

if you have a smaller yard, try using a reel or battery operated mower this season. i read about them in an article on eco-lawn maintenance at ecoblublog.com and they are recommended for smaller yards to cut on gas emissions.
