Your plans will get the bulk of their nutrients from the soil and can only become as healthy as the soil is, so that?s why it?s critically important to have high quality nutrient rich soil. Preferably some type of high quality pot soil. The healthier and stronger your plants are, the less likely that they will become one of the many victims of pests such like bugs and other insects that eat on plants flesh. If you nourish the soil well, then in return, the soil will help nourish your plants well. So, that?s why you can take other means to help nourish your plants, and in this way I?m talking about, you can feed your plants compost tea.
To explain this more clearly, compost is a type of natural substance in the soil that is produced when the bacteria that is located in the soil breaks down and digest organic matter. If you ever saw a dead substance in the soil and wonder how dead organisms or organic matter seems to disappear after a while then hear is the reason. In essence, it is a type of natural organic fertilizer which is free of harmful chemicals unlike the traditional type that is commonly used in the conventional supermarkets. Making organic composts in essence requires an individual to constantly turn the soil and also constantly mixing the ingredients within it as well. It is an ongoing long term process but is worth it. When an individual is out to make compost tea, it?s important to remember that the tea will only be as good as the compost used. The higher in quality the compost is, the better the compost tea for organic farming. An individual may be thinking that there are a variety of organic fertilizers that they can use on the market premade, and that why would anyone bother using organic compost tea because of all of the brewing and work that is done in making it? Well, the answer is quite simple. Many studies have proved that the organic tea compost have improved the nutritional value of plants and also helped to reduce it from having disease and rotting as well. Many studies have also concluded that making organic compost tea can help improve the flavor of fruits and vegetables as well.
As mentioned, one of the critical reasons for making organic compost tea is so that it can increase the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables as well as the taste and flavor of it. It?s interesting to note that an individual can put the ingredients of compost tea in some type of spray bottle and then spray the liquid on its plans so that it will absorb the nutrients through its leaves and hold them within its roots. Depending on what your objective is, organic tea can be made in both large and small amounts. If you have a large quantity of plants then feel free to add more quantity of the ingredients that will be mentioned below. The recipe that I?m giving you is for quantities of ingredients that are from low to medium. Below is the list of ingredients that you will need to start making your organic compost tea. One large container that will be used to hold the water in, usually a plastic trash can will work well, an enough amount of aged compost, and plenty of fresh water to fill the container. Once this is done, what an individual should next do is cover the compost in some type of form, perhaps wrap it up in an old pillow case or sheet, and dip the compost in water. Let it stay there for a while, roughly two weeks, and make sure to cover the area where the compost is located.
Why you want the compost to stay in there for roughly two weeks is so that you will give it enough time so that it can build up the beneficial bacteria and to allow for it to develop its fermentation process. You may be thinking some negative aspects about bacteria, but rest assured that bacteria are within your body as well. Not all bacteria is harmful for you, some are actually the opposite and help aid in certain aspect and processes within your body. Once the specific time period has elapsed, make sure to dip out the tea and to use the substance you just made as nourishment for your plants. To properly feed your organic plant matter this substance, make sure to spray this substance within the roots of your plants. What some gardeners like to do is to add the substance within bottles and to use it as plant spray for the plants.
