One main advantage that the container grown herbs and vegetables have over the ones grown within a vegetable season is that they can still be grown even when the outdoor vegetable season is over.

You can also grow herbs indoors during the winter season, you will just need to place it in an area in which it can obtain sunshine and fresh air. Another advantage of growing these herbs indoors is that it is possible for them to be used for cooking and other culinary purposes, in their dried, frozen, or fresh forms. All in all, growing herbs by using container gardening is relatively easy compared to its vegetable gardening counterpart. It also requires little room and space, it can in essence be grown by anyone of any location. The crops also tends to have far less insect problems compared to the crops grown in vegetables gardens, and the soil also requires small levels of fertility.
